TERMS OF SERVICE

Last Updated: August 21, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Garage Door Daddy LLC website, online booking services, communications, estimates, and services provided by Garage Door Daddy LLC (“Garage Door Daddy,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing our website, requesting an estimate, scheduling an appointment, communicating with us, approving work, or purchasing our products or services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. OUR SERVICES

Garage Door Daddy provides residential and/or commercial garage door services, which may include:

  • Garage door inspections and diagnostics
  • Garage door repair
  • Garage door maintenance
  • Torsion and extension spring repair or replacement
  • Garage door opener repair or replacement
  • Garage door installation and replacement
  • Garage door hardware and component replacement
  • Emergency and after-hours services
  • Estimates for repairs, replacements, and installations
  • Other garage-door-related services agreed upon between Garage Door Daddy and the customer

The availability, scope, and pricing of services may vary based on location, equipment, property conditions, parts availability, scheduling, and the specific work required.

2. ESTIMATES AND PRICING

Unless otherwise stated, estimates are based on the information and conditions reasonably available to Garage Door Daddy at the time the estimate is prepared.

An estimate is not necessarily a guarantee of the final price if additional conditions, damage, parts, labor, code requirements, or other circumstances are discovered after work begins.

If additional work is recommended or required, Garage Door Daddy will seek customer authorization before performing additional chargeable work whenever reasonably practicable.

Prices may vary based on the type of garage door, opener, spring system, parts, labor requirements, availability, manufacturer pricing, and other job-specific circumstances.

Promotional offers, coupons, and discounts may be subject to separate terms and may not be combined unless expressly authorized by Garage Door Daddy.

3. CUSTOMER AUTHORIZATION

Before performing chargeable work, Garage Door Daddy may require the customer or an authorized representative to approve an estimate, work order, invoice, electronic authorization, or other service agreement.

By approving work, you represent that:

  1. You are the property owner or have authority from the property owner to authorize the work;
  2. You authorize Garage Door Daddy to perform the work described in the approved estimate or work order; and
  3. You agree to pay the amounts associated with the authorized work.

Authorization may be provided electronically, in writing, through our service-management platform, or by another method reasonably accepted by Garage Door Daddy.

4. APPOINTMENTS AND PROPERTY ACCESS

Customers are responsible for providing Garage Door Daddy with safe and reasonable access to the property, garage, garage door, opener, electrical components, and other areas necessary to inspect or perform the requested work.

An adult or authorized representative may be required to be present during the appointment.

Customers should remove vehicles, personal property, stored items, pets, or other obstructions when necessary to provide a safe working area.

Garage Door Daddy may refuse, suspend, or reschedule service if our technician determines that working conditions are unsafe, inaccessible, unlawful, or otherwise unsuitable for performing the work.

5. APPOINTMENT WINDOWS AND DELAYS

Appointment times and arrival windows are estimates.

Garage Door Daddy will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the scheduled window; however, garage door service calls can vary significantly in duration.

Traffic, weather, emergencies, previous appointments, parts availability, technician availability, and circumstances outside our reasonable control may cause delays.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant scheduling changes.

6. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING

Customers should notify Garage Door Daddy as soon as reasonably possible if an appointment needs to be canceled or rescheduled.

Garage Door Daddy reserves the right to charge a cancellation, trip, diagnostic, or service fee when such a fee was disclosed to the customer before the appointment or is otherwise included in the applicable service agreement.

Special-order products, custom garage doors, custom materials, and other specially ordered items may be subject to separate cancellation and refund restrictions.

7. DEPOSITS

Garage Door Daddy may require a deposit before ordering materials, reserving installation dates, beginning certain projects, or performing other work.

Any required deposit and applicable payment schedule will be disclosed in the estimate, invoice, contract, or other service documentation.

Deposits associated with special-order or custom products may become non-refundable to the extent permitted by applicable law once products have been ordered, manufactured, shipped, or otherwise committed specifically to the customer's project.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to eliminate any cancellation or refund rights provided to consumers under applicable California law.

8. PAYMENT

Payment terms will be identified on the applicable estimate, invoice, work order, financing agreement, or other transaction documentation.

Garage Door Daddy may accept payment through methods including credit cards, debit cards, checks, electronic payments, financing providers, or other approved payment methods.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, amounts due for completed repair or service work are payable upon completion.

Installation projects may have separate deposit and progress-payment requirements.

Customers are responsible for amounts properly authorized and owed for services performed and products supplied.

9. CREDIT AND DEBIT CARD PAYMENTS

By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method provided and authorize Garage Door Daddy and its payment processors to process charges associated with approved services.

Payment processing may be performed by third-party providers. Garage Door Daddy is not responsible for outages, processing delays, authorization decisions, or other actions controlled solely by those third-party payment providers.

10. FINANCING

Garage Door Daddy may make third-party financing options available to eligible customers.

Financing is provided by independent third-party financing companies and not by Garage Door Daddy unless expressly stated otherwise.

Approval, interest rates, payment schedules, credit requirements, fees, and other financing terms are determined by the financing provider.

Garage Door Daddy does not guarantee financing approval.

Customers who select financing are also subject to the applicable financing provider's agreements and terms.

11. PARTS AND MATERIALS

Garage Door Daddy may use original equipment manufacturer (“OEM”), aftermarket, universal, or comparable replacement components depending on the repair, availability, compatibility, customer selection, and applicable estimate.

Product appearance, packaging, model numbers, and specifications may change as manufacturers update their products.

Garage Door Daddy may substitute a reasonably comparable product when an originally specified product becomes unavailable, subject to customer authorization when the substitution materially changes the customer's approved work or price.

12. CUSTOMER-SUPPLIED PRODUCTS AND PARTS

Garage Door Daddy may, at its discretion, install customer-supplied equipment or parts.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, Garage Door Daddy does not warrant customer-supplied products and is not responsible for defects, incompatibility, premature failure, manufacturer defects, missing components, or other problems inherent in customer-supplied equipment.

Additional labor required because a customer-supplied product is incorrect, incomplete, defective, or incompatible may result in additional charges with customer authorization.

13. EXISTING CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL REPAIRS

Garage door systems contain interconnected mechanical and electrical components.

During inspection or repair, our technicians may discover worn, damaged, improperly installed, outdated, unsafe, or incompatible components that were not reasonably apparent before the work began.

Garage Door Daddy may recommend additional repairs or replacement when necessary for proper operation or safety.

Except when necessary to address an immediate safety concern, additional chargeable work will not be performed without customer authorization.

Garage Door Daddy is not responsible for pre-existing damage, defective construction, improper previous repairs or installations, structural deficiencies, electrical problems, water damage, pest damage, deterioration, or other conditions that were not caused by Garage Door Daddy.

14. SAFETY

Garage doors, torsion springs, cables, tracks, openers, and related equipment can cause serious injury or property damage if improperly handled.

Customers should not interfere with a technician while work is being performed.

After service, customers should follow any safety instructions or recommendations provided by Garage Door Daddy.

Garage Door Daddy may recommend that a garage door or opener not be operated when a technician identifies a condition that presents a potential safety hazard.

If a customer declines a recommended safety-related repair, Garage Door Daddy may document that recommendation and may decline to perform work that we reasonably believe would leave the system in an unsafe condition.

15. WARRANTIES

Any warranty applicable to Garage Door Daddy's workmanship, parts, garage doors, openers, or other products will be described in the customer's invoice, estimate, warranty documentation, or other applicable service agreement.

Manufacturer warranties are provided by the applicable manufacturer and are subject to that manufacturer's terms, exclusions, registration requirements, and claim procedures.

Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing, warranties do not cover conditions resulting from misuse, abuse, accidents, impact damage, lack of maintenance, unauthorized modification or repair, power surges, electrical problems, water intrusion, pests, structural movement, weather events, normal wear and tear, or circumstances outside Garage Door Daddy's reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits warranties or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

16. PHOTOS AND SERVICE DOCUMENTATION

Garage Door Daddy may photograph or record the garage door, opener, equipment, damaged components, replacement parts, completed work, serial numbers, or surrounding work area for legitimate business purposes such as:

  • Preparing estimates
  • Documenting existing conditions
  • Documenting completed work
  • Warranty administration
  • Training and quality assurance
  • Insurance or dispute documentation
  • We will handle such records in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
  • We will not intentionally publish personally identifying customer information as marketing content without appropriate authorization.

17. TEXT MESSAGES AND COMMUNICATIONS

By providing your telephone number and consenting to communications from Garage Door Daddy, you may receive service-related calls or text messages concerning:

  • Invoices and payment information

  • Other communications relating to your relationship with Garage Door Daddy

Where you separately consent to marketing communications, you may also receive promotional or marketing text messages.

Consent to receive marketing messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

You may reply STOP to marketing text messages to opt out and HELP for assistance. Transactional or service-related communications may still be sent where permitted by law.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies.

22. WEBSITE AVAILABILITY

We make reasonable efforts to maintain our website and online services but do not guarantee that they will always operate without interruption, delay, or error.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue portions of our website or online functionality at any time.

23. DISCLAIMER

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Garage Door Daddy website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

Information displayed online regarding services, pricing, promotions, availability, product specifications, and other matters may change.

A website description does not replace the terms of a specific estimate, work order, invoice, warranty, financing agreement, or other written agreement relating to a particular customer's project.

24. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Garage Door Daddy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising solely from use of our website or services.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under California or federal law.

Any limitation contained in these Terms shall apply only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

25. INDEMNIFICATION

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold Garage Door Daddy and its owners, employees, contractors, representatives, and agents harmless from third-party claims arising directly from your unlawful use of our website, your material violation of these Terms, or content you submit that violates the rights of another person.

This provision does not require a consumer to indemnify Garage Door Daddy for Garage Door Daddy's own negligence, willful misconduct, or other liability that cannot legally be shifted to the consumer.

26. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS AND SIGNATURES

By using our website, submitting online forms, communicating with us electronically, or electronically approving estimates or service documents, you consent to conducting transactions electronically where permitted by law.

Electronic signatures, approvals, acknowledgments, estimates, invoices, and other electronic records may be treated as written records and signatures to the extent permitted by applicable law.

27. PRIVACY

Information collected through our website, scheduling systems, estimates, service appointments, communications, and transactions will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Our Privacy Policy should be reviewed separately from these Terms of Service.

28. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and your use of Garage Door Daddy's website and services shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where federal law applies.

29. DISPUTES

If a dispute arises between a customer and Garage Door Daddy, the parties are encouraged to first contact one another and make a good-faith effort to resolve the dispute informally.

Nothing in these Terms prevents either party from exercising rights or remedies available under applicable California or federal law.

Any additional dispute-resolution, mediation, arbitration, venue, or attorney-fee provisions contained in a separately executed contract between Garage Door Daddy and the customer shall govern that transaction to the extent legally enforceable.

30. CALIFORNIA CONSUMERS
